No matter how deeply we go into the details of a matter and isolate our view of the world in the process, our own world view always seems “big” and full.
We build our own bounding box for our consciousness, based on our personal life experiences and stimulated or steered by the ways of seeing of others, because we don’t like to float around in indeterminacy and uncertainty.
We like to fill our world view completely, like a soap bubble that reaches to the horizon. That is part of being human, it gives us a sense of security.
Empathy means being able to temporarily dissolve the limitations of one’s own consciousness for another living being.
If we perceive other living beings without any judgement and completely accepting, our own world view will also expand in the process.
